A house for the feminist strike

Zurich’s Quartierhaus 5 becomes feminist. The place should be free of discrimination.

At Sihlquai 115 there is a house that at first glance seems inconspicuous. Only a few women’s strike stickers in the vicinity suggest that this is the new feminist quarter house. The building was given to the strike collective via the Dynamo space exchange of the city of Zurich, which is responsible for renting properties for non-commercial and city-related purposes. “Thanks to the tailwind given us by the feminist strike and our ideas, we were able to convince and win the house over,” say two representatives* of the collective.
